Amadeo II Count of Savoy 
Amadeo II was born in 1032 in Geneva,Switzerland. Amadeo II's father was Otto (Eudes) and his mother was Adelaide of Torino. His paternal grandfather was Count Humbert I "White Hands" and his paternal grandmother is Auxilla of Noyen; his maternal grandparents were Olderico II Manfredi Marquis of Tur and Bertha of Este. He had two sisters named Adelaide (Alix) of Maurienne and Bertha Countess of Maurienne. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 47 on January 26th, 1079.General Notes
