John VAN WAGONER Sr. 
John was born on September 13th, 1849 in Potts, Pottawattamie, IA. John's father was John Halmagh VAN WAGONER and his mother was Clarissa TAPPEN. His paternal grandparents were Halmagh Johannes VAN WAGENER and Mary VAN HOUTEN; his maternal grandparents were George TAPPEN and Sarah (Sally) DREW. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Ephraim, William, Henry, Orson, George, Hester, Ann, Cynthia and Clarissa. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 79 on December 20th, 1928 in Heber, Wasatch, UT. He was buried on December 23rd, 1928.-
