Patience was born in 1674 in Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island. Patience's father was Jonathan SPRAGUE and her mother is Mehitable HOLBROOK. Her paternal grandparents were William SPRAGUE and Millicent EAMES; her maternal grandparents were William HOLBROOK and Elizabeth PITTS OR PETTS. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Jonathan, William, Joanna, Persis and Mary. She is the second oldest of the six children.-
