Mial was born on September 24th, 1684 in Scituate, Plymouth, Mass. Mial's father was Ephraim Pierce and his mother was Hannah HOLBROOK. His paternal grandparents were Michael Pierce and Anna James; his maternal grandfather was John HOLBROOK. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Azribin, Azrikim, Ephraim, Michael, John, Benjamin, Rachel, Hannah and Experience. He was the second youngest of the ten children.
