Floris I was born about 1017 in , , , West Friesland. Floris I's father was Dietrich III Of Westfriesland Count and his mother was Othehildis (Ulfrido) Of Nordmark Princess. His paternal grandparents were Arnulf I Of Westfriesland Count and Luitgarde Of Luxembourg; his maternal grandfather is Bernard I Of Nordmark Markgraf. He was an only child. He died on June 28th, 1061 in Hannert. He was buried in July 1061.-
