His paternal grandfather was Gerhard IV Of Upper Lorrain Duke and his paternal grandmother is Hedwig Of Namur; his maternal grandparents were Robert I Of Flanders Count and Gertrude Of Saxony. He had two sisters named Gertrude (Petronel) and Gisela. He had a half-brother named Simon I. He died at the age of 69 on February 4th, 1168. He was buried in 1168.-
