His paternal grandparents were William I Of Normandy Duke and Sporta De Bretagne; his maternal grandfather is Herbastus De Crepon Forester. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Geoffrey, Richard II, Robert, Mauger, Hawise, Beatrice and Emma. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Mauger. He died on January 26th, 1057. He was buried in 1057.-
