Mathilde was born about 0990.  Mathilde's father was Herman II Of Arnsberg and Werl Count and her mother was Godila Of Rothenburg Countess.  Her paternal grandfather was Herman I Of Arnsberg and Werl Count and her paternal grandmother is Gerberge Of Burgundy Countess. She had a brother named Bernhard.  She was the older of the two children.  She died in 1062.  She was buried in 1062.
