Melvina was born on December 11th, 1886 in Oakley, Cassia, ID. Melvina's father was Walter William MATTHEWS and her mother was Martha Ellen MC MURRAY. Her paternal grandparents were William MATTHEWS and Charlotte SWIFT; her maternal grandparents were Charles K MC MURRAY and Melvina WILSON. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Walter William, Charles Timothy, Murray Lionel, James Monroe, Samuel Swift, Mary Ellen, Charlotte Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, Ruth and Emma Lauretta. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 83 on July 8th, 1970 in Boise, Ada, ID. She was buried on July 11th, 1970 in Twin Falls, Twin Falls, ID.-
