Matilda was born about 1031 in Flanders, , France.  Matilda's father was Bauouin V Cnt of Flanders and her mother was Adela or Aliz Princess.  Her paternal grandparents are Bauouin IV Cnt of Flanders and Ogive DE LUXEMBORG; her maternal grandparents are Robert II King of France and Constance.  She was an only child.  She died on November 2nd, 1083 in Caen, Clvds, France.
