Joannah was born on August 16th, 1687 in Swansea, Bristol, MA. Joannah's father was Theophilus Luther and her mother was Lydia KENNICUTT. Her paternal grandfather was Samuel Luther and her paternal grandmother is Mabel Abel; her maternal grandmother is Joannah SHEPARDSEN. She had six brothers and a sister, named Theophilus, Martin, Nathan, John, Daniel, Oliver and Mary. She is the oldest of the eight children.-
