Asa Elijah was born on February 2nd, 1832 in , Coles, Illinois. Asa Elijah's father was Nathum BIGELOW and his mother was Mary Gibbs. His paternal grandparents were Simeon BIGELOW and Sarah foster; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Gibbs and Adah HUBBARD. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Hiram, Liola, Moroni, Daniel, Joseph SMITH, Mary Jane, Lucy, Lovina, Liola and Sariah. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 79 on November 9th, 1911 in Payson, Utah, UT. He was buried on November 11th, 1911 in Payson, Utah, Utah.-
