Gilbert de Lacy

Gilbert was born about 1202 in Dublin, Ireland. Gilbert's father was Walter de Lacy and his mother was Margaret de Braose. His paternal grandparents were Hugh de Lacy and Rohese de Monmouth; his maternal grandparents were William III de Braose and Maud de St. Valerie de Haye. He had three sisters named Katherine, Petronilla and Egidia Giles. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died before December 25th, 1230 in Ewyas Lacy, Trim & Weobley, Herefordshire, England. He was buried in Llanthony Priory, Wales.
