Richard was born in 1202 in Stanton, England. Richard's father was William de Harcourt and his mother was Alice Noel. His paternal grandparents were Robert (John) de Harcourt and Isabel de Camville; his maternal grandparents were Thomas FitzRobert Noel and Margaret le Strange. He was an only child. He died at the age of 56 in 1258.-
