Johan Jacob Wetzel 
Johan Jacob was born on February 15th, 1795 in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Johan Jacob's father was Johan Heinrich Wetzel and his mother was Catharina Hein. His paternal grandparents were Johan Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler; his maternal grandparents were Simon Hein and Maria Cordula. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Johannes, Johan Henry, Unknown, Elisabetha and Sarah. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 86 on December 14th, 1881 in New Berlin, Limestone Township, Union County, Pennsylvania.-
