Daniel Wetzel 
Daniel was born on November 7th, 1787 in Hereford Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Daniel's father was Philip Wetzel and his mother was Anna Maria Berger. His paternal grandparents were Johan Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler. He had five brothers and a sister, named Philip Jr., Johannes, Johan Henry, Solomon, Jonathan and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 87 on February 18th, 1875 in Union County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on February 21st, 1875 in Ray's Church Cemetery, Union County, Pennsylvania.-
