Leopold George Duncan Albert's father was Albert Augustus of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and his mother was Victoria Alexandria Hanover of Great Britain. His maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa Wettin von Saxe-Coburg. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward VII Saxe-Coburg Wettin of Great, Aldred Ernest Albert, Arthur William Patrick, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Alice Maud Mary, Louise Caroline Alberta, Helena Augusta Victoria and Beatrice Mary Victoria. He is the second youngest of the nine children.-
