William Taylor 
William was born about 1749 in Virginia. William's father was Zachary Taylor and his mother was Elizabeth Lee. His paternal grandparents were James Taylor and Martha Thompson; his maternal grandparents were Hancock Lee and Sarah Elizabeth Allerton. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hancock, Richard, Zachary and Elizabeth. He is the youngest of the five children. He has four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Charles, Ezekiel, Zacharaiah, Jeremiah, Nancy and Rebecca.-
