George was born in Orange County, Virginia. George's father was James Taylor and his mother was Martha Thompson. His paternal grandparents were James Taylor and Frances Walker; his maternal grandfather was William Thompson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Zachary, Erasmus, James, Frances, Mildred, Hannah, Tabitha and Martha. He died on November 4th, 1792 in Orange County, Virginia.-
