James Skidmore 
James was born on July 30th, 1828 in Braxton County, West Virginia. James' father was Andrew Jr. Skidmore and his mother was Margaret Hudkins. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Skidmore and Margaret Johnson. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Allen, Felix, David, Naomi, Susan, Mary F., Eleanor, Sally and Eliza. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 66 on April 7th, 1895 in Elk River, Braxton County, West Virginia.-
