Rome Shafer 
Rome was born about 1897. Rome's father was Ulysses Samuel Shafer and his mother was Cora Belle Vineyard. His paternal grandparents were Samuel L. Shaver and Sarah Jane Kiser. He had three brothers and a sister, named Homer, Samuel Vincent, James Howard and Lola. He is the third oldest of the five children.-
