Mary Ann was born on April 10th, 1763 in Virginia. Mary Ann's father was Matthew Patton and her mother was Hester Dyer. Her paternal grandfather was John Patton; her maternal grandparents were Roger Sr. Dyer and Hannah Smith. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Benjamin, James, John, Roger Dyer, Matthew, Samuel, William, Sarah and Esther. She died after 1784.-
