John Norton 
John was born on June 5th, 1628 in St. Michael, Cornhill, London, Middlesex, England. John's father was Richard Norton and his mother was Ellen Rowley. His paternal grandparents were William Norton and Dionesia Cholmeley; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Rowley and Mary Cornwell. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Robert, Luke, Richard, William, John, George, Ellen and Dorothy. He died at the age of 81 on November 5th, 1709 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut.General Notes
There is some disagreement as to whether he married a Dorothy Frigell-and
if he did, who is the mother of his children, Elizabeth or Dorothy. Most
historians give his only wife as Elizabeth Clark/Clarke. Some sources
list his birth in 1622.
