Sarah was born on November 5th, 1696 in Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut. Sarah's father was John Mills and her mother was Sarah Pettibone. Her paternal grandparents were Simon Mills and Mary Buell; her maternal grandparents were John Pettibone and Sarah Eggleston. She was an only child. She died at the age of 101 on November 8th, 1797 in West Avon, Hartford County, Connecticut.-
