Michael Knittel 
Michael was born in November 1761 in Richmond Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Michael's father was Michael Joseph Knittel and his mother was Anna Maria Schatz. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Knittel and Regina Magdalena Fueglin; his maternal grandfather was Jacob Schatz. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Johan Frederich K., John Adam, John George, Daniel, Cristina, Catherine Rosina and Catharina Maria. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on August 15th, 1836 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.General Notes
