Thomas was born about June 1596 in Ashford, Kent, England. Thomas' father was William Hatch and his mother was Ann Tilden. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Hatche and his paternal grandmother is Joanne Brissenden; his maternal grandparents were John Tilden and Patience Casslen. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Son, Judith, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary and Anne. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died about 1646 in Scituate, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts.-
