Louis I the Fair the Pious Aquitaine of was born in August 0778 in Chasseneuil, near Poitiers, Aquitaine, France.  Louis I the Fair the Pious Aquitaine of's father was UNKNOWN Charlemagne and his mother was Hildegard de Vinzgau.  His paternal grandparents were Pepin III the Short of Austrasia and Bertrada of Laon; his maternal grandparents were Gerold I (Childebrand) Vinzgau of Swabia and Emma of Allemania. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles the Younger of, Pepin I (Carloman) de Lombardy of, Lothar, Rotrud, Adelaide, Bertha, Gisela and Hildegard. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Pepin the Hunchback of the, Hugh, Drogo of, Theodoric of the, Theodrada of, Hiltrude of, Ruothild of, Dhuoda Duodene, Rothaid of and Aupais.  He died in Petersaue (an island in the Rhine near Ingelheim), Germany.  He was buried in Church of St. Arnulf in Metz.
