Margaret Chestnut 
Margaret was born about 1740 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Margaret's father was James Chestnut and her mother was Margaret Cantey. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Chestnut and Mary O'Draine; her maternal grandparents were John Cantey and Margaret McGrit. She had two brothers named John and James. She is the oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Son, Richard and Sally.-
