Virginia Alice was born on January 13th, 1889 in Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1 Virginia Alice's father was William Marion Wood and her mother was Mary Shrewsbury. Her maternal grandparents are Laffayette Shrewsbury and Mary E. Clark Cunningham. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James L., Clarence, Noah, Oscar, George, Henry, Martha J., Ida, Elizabeth Ida and Hollis. She died at the age of 91 on October 26th, 1980 in Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.1 General Notes
