Lou Ann was born on March 8th, 1828 in Fleming, Kentucky.1 Lou Ann's father was Tobias L. Wight and her mother is Catherine Underwood. Her maternal grandfather was Gideon Underwood and her maternal grandmother is Mary Donohy. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Madison C., William, Thomas Fletcher, Mary Jane and Margaret Elmira. She was the third youngest of the six children.
