Robert Emmit Underwood 
Robert Emmit was born on May 25th, 1888 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Robert Emmit's father was Lewis J. Underwood and his mother was Mary Jane Warren. His paternal grandfather was Abraham Hiram Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Mary Roark; his maternal grandparents were Felix Grundy Warren and Elizabeth Frances Dearen. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Perry Monroe, Lewis Thomas, Jefferson Leslie, Isaac Lee, James Arthur, Mary Elizabeth, Ida Louise, Lou J., Virginia Alice and Kate Ella. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Charles Robinson. He died at the age of 91 on February 23rd, 1980 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
