Levi Spring 
Levi was born on February 8th, 1848 in Kiamitia, Hugo, Oklahoma.1 Levi's father was Christopher Columbus Spring and his mother was Susan Bohanon. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named John, William M., James Oliver, Joel Samuel, Judigh, Lewis, Sampson, Thomas, Tony, Elizabeth Isabel and Lucinda. He died at the age of 54 on February 6th, 1903 in Hugo, Choctaw Co., Oklahoma.1 General Notes

nd C .N. 1st Choctaw and Chickasaw Mounted Rifles. Private Levi Spring w
as in t he war for 3 years, his enlistment number was 51862187. The 1st Re
giment C hoctaw and Chickasaw Mounted Rifles (also called Volunteers, Rifl
emen, a nd Cavalry) completed its organization 31 July, 1861, with ten com
panie s, A to K. Many changes were made in company letters, due to the reo
rganiz ation of some companies and the elimination and substitution of oth
ers.
