Jakob Speier 
Jakob was born on January 18th, 1824 in Niederbrechen, Nassau, Germany.1 Jakob's father was Caspar Speyer and his mother was Elisabetha Hundsanger. His paternal grandparents were Adam Speyer and Eva Rorich; his maternal grandparents were Michael Hundsanger and Anna Elisabetha Koch. He had two sisters named Maria Anna and Katharina. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Joseph, Johannes, Margaretha and Anna Maria.
