Stephen Skaggs 
Stephen was born in 1764 in Virginia.1 Stephen's father was James Skaggs and his mother is Mary Unknown. His paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Rachel Unknown. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Henry, James, William, Jeremiah, Rachel, Jenny, Loveless and Mary Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry and Mary. He died at the age of 50 on December 14th, 1814 in KY.2 General Notes

ANDERSON in Nelson Co. on 3 Sep,1799. He was evidently also a Baptist min-
ister as Rev. DOWNS wrote Song #67 "On the death of Stephen SKAGGS".
Green Co. Cir. Court suit #5676 concerns the settlement of Stephen SKAGG
S' estate. His wife was listed as Nancy, which indicates a 2nd marriage. T

Henry S. was born on June 6th, 1807 in Green, KY.1 He died at the age of 59 on September 9th, 1866 in Jefferson, MO. He was buried in Lebanon Baptist Church, Jefferson Co., Missouri.1 1
