Alford Russell

Alford was born in August 1880 in Breathitt Co. Kentucky.¹ Alford's father was William Hall Russell and his mother is Orlena Ritchie. His maternal grandparents were Andrew Ritchie and Mahala Miller. He has four brothers and three sisters, named Sam, William Floyd, John, James, Cass, Gran Pearl and Mary. He is the oldest of the eight children.
