Katie M.'s father is Edward Rowland and her mother is Jenny McCaslen.  Her paternal grandparents are Simon Rowland and Melvina Purcell; her maternal grandparents are John Wesley McCaslen and Amanda Toler. She had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Edna.

‌Katie M. and Raymond V. were married in a religious ceremony in Hancock Co., Kentucky.¹   They had five sons and three daughters, named Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living.
