Bessie Ruth Pridgen

Bessie Ruth was born in 1904.¹ Bessie Ruth's father was James Jeremiah Pridgen and her mother was Camilla Mildred Underwood. Her maternal grandparents were Reuben Isam, Jr. Underwood and Martha Mildred Carter. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Walter Ray, James Franklin, Leonard Isam, Mamie Pearl, Laura Alice, Alma Ellinor, Mattie Irene, Florence Eugenia and Ida Florida. She is the fifth youngest of the ten children.
