His paternal grandfather is James Paris and his paternal grandmother was Sally Pendleton; his maternal grandfather was Leander, Sr. Hughes and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Fretwell. He had a brother and two sisters, named James Leonard, Jr., Sarah Ann and Martha L.. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died after February 1898 in Crittenden Co., Kentucky.1 -
