Cynthia Scintha Cassie was born on December 30th, 1804 in Ohio.1 Cynthia Scintha Cassie's father was William Henry Oxley and her mother was Jane Binley. Her paternal grandparents were John Oxley and Catherin Lewis. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Arron, Enoch, Lewis Binley, Ann, Susannah, Catherine, Frances and Mary Woolard. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 71 on March 31st, 1876 in Blount, Vermillion Co. Ilinois.1 General Notes
