Melissa Emma Noblett

Melissa Emma was born on February 20th, 1862.¹   Melissa Emma's father was James Denham Noblett and her mother was Cynthia A. Smith. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Asa William, Francis Whitcomb, Nancy Jane, Mary Elizabeth and Mary Ellen.  She was the second youngest of the six children. She had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Alfred Watson, James Ransom, Clarence, Mamie Ester, Lucy Thomas, Eliza Margaret, Maud, Sythia Ann and Parthenia.  She died at the age of 84 on August 5th, 1946.¹ 

‌Melissa Emma and James A. were married in a religious ceremony on December 9th, 1880 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.¹   They had a son and a daughter, named Lee and Shellie Coy.
