Ann P. was born in May 1851.1 Ann P.'s father was Charles M. Monroe and her mother was Margaret Saphronia Bethune. Her maternal grandparents were Lauchlin Bethune and Ann Patterson. She had two brothers and a sister, named Lauchlin Bethune, Charles N. and Mary E.. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 76 in 1927.1 General Notes
