Orilla V. was born on October 29th, 1847 in South Carolina.1 Orilla V.'s father was Daniel Jenkins McQueen and her mother was Elizabeth Caroline Skipper. Her paternal grandfather was William J. McQueen and her paternal grandmother is Susannah Graham. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James Robinson, John W., William Hamilton, Yancy Price, Laura F., Emma Caroline and Julia R.. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 71 on November 26th, 1918 in Loris, Horry Co., South Carolina.1 General Notes
