James Gay McGregor 
James Gay was born on June 1st, 1871 in Pontotoc Co., Mississippi.1 James Gay's father is George McGregor and his mother was Lucy Jane Tutor. His paternal grandparents are Willis McGregor and Nettie Harrison; his maternal grandfather was Samuel Isaac Tutor and his maternal grandmother is Lucinda Ann Johnson. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named John H., Samuel Young, William B., Willis S., Willie Harrison, Ezekial I., Alexander F., Eddie, Mary Ann, Nettie J., Rebecca Jane and Georgia Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 94 on July 15th, 1965 in Garvin Co., Oklahoma.1 General Notes
