John Edward Martin 
John Edward was born on June 7th, 1899.1 John Edward's father was John D. Martin and his mother was Annie Brooke Griffith. His paternal grandfather was David Martin and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Margaret Snider; his maternal grandparents are Louis Griffith and Mary Nichols. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Jesse, Dave or Davis O., Jimmy, Annie B., Alice, Cora E., Lea Ola and Lola Jewell. He is the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
