Jonas 'James' G. Kirkland 
Jonas 'James' G. was born in 1823.1 Jonas 'James' G.'s father was Zachariah Kirkland and his mother was Elizabeth Harris. His maternal grandparents are Reuben Harris and Mary Rawlings. He had four brothers named William (Bill), William J., Wiley C. and Isaac N.. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died after 1850.1 General Notes

Jonas 'James' G. and Minerva Ann were married in a religious ceremony about 1848 in Tennessee.1 They had a son and a daughter, named Samuel Thomas and Sara Ann.

Sara Ann was born on January 13th, 1857 in Pikersville, Bledsoe, Tennessee.1 She died at the age of 76 on January 15th, 1933 in Welch, Oklahoma.1
