Thomas Walter was born on April 13th, 1883 in Peytona, Boone Co., West Virginia.1 Thomas Walter's father was Euell Thomas Javins and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Smith. His paternal grandfather was Daniel Watts Javins and his paternal grandmother is Caroline Hill; his maternal grandparents are Robert Abraham Smith and Mary Jane Paul. He had a brother and three sisters, named William Ward, Maudie Ethel, Annie Lee and Hattie 'B'. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 51 on December 17th, 1934.1 General Notes
