Vallies was born on July 30th, 1905 in Brady, McCulloch Co., Texas.1 Vallies' father was Jesse H. Hallford and her mother was Louella Williams. Her paternal grandparents are Alfred Hallford and Anna Haggard; her maternal grandparents were William Pleasant, Jr. Williams and Sylvia Ann Roberts.
