Dovie Gertrude was born on August 28th, 1907 in Brady, McCulloch Co., Texas.1 Dovie Gertrude's father was Soloman Hoyt Hallford and her mother was Mary Jane May Williams. Her paternal grandparents are Alfred Hallford and Anna Haggard; her maternal grandparents were William Pleasant, Jr. Williams and Sylvia Ann Roberts. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hoyt Hicks, Troy B. and Dorothy May. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 68 on September 18th, 1975 in Menard Co., Texas.1 General Notes
