Charles Gosnell 
Charles was born on September 15th, 1878 in Greenville Co., South Carolina.1 Charles' father was Portman Gosnell and his mother is Mary Howard. His paternal grandparents are Charles Gosnell and Cloa Judith Sams. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James Pinkney, Jacob S., George, Thomas, Andrew Jackson, Delia, Clara and Kindness. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 50 on October 26th, 1928 in Spartanburg Co., South Carolina. He was buried in Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg Co., South Carolina.1 1 General Notes
