Her paternal grandfather is William Alexander Endicott and her paternal grandmother was Sarah Jane DeSpain. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named William A., Benjamin F., Frances E., Nancy M., Mary E., Olive A., Clara J., Frances Maude and Eliza E..
